How do you make the greatest impact on our planet? By creating the least impact on it.
It’s why sustainability of the materials we use, recyclability of every part, waste reduction, clean energy during manufacturing, packaging and transportation are all factored into the design of our shoes. But it isn’t enough to just say so. See for yourself.
Start your own.
What goes around should come back around.
What goes around should come back around. Circular design is the life force behind New Movements – as well as the lifestyle. It means we have specifically designed sustainability into our shoes and consciously designed the waste out of it.
Natural and recycled materials
It’s starts with natural and recycled materials, ethical sourcing with family-owned European suppliers, and clean, sustainable production. But even eco-friendly footwear brands are ending up in landfills along with 95% of the world’s footwear. Which leaves the circle incomplete and the loop open. So we did something to close it.
The Circular Program
With our recycling program, you can send your worn-out New Movements shoes back to us. We’ll recycle them, using the waste to make new shoes AND give you a 20% discount voucher for your next purchase with us. Welcome to the circular lifestyle!
Transparency does not make us blush.
To create a truly sustainable shoe, eco-friendly materials are important – but they are by no means the whole story. 66% of greenhouse gas are actually generated and emitted during the manufacturing process. So it is important to be transparent about the factories we work with and ensure they are committed to the environment, using as much clean energy as possible, as often as possible. All New Movements shoes are produced in Porto, Portugal in a factory where more than 30% of electricity comes from renewable energy sources.
